Back in mid-November, Ashlyn and Zoe kicked off the day with an early start for a content shoot designed to showcase a stunning range of gymnastics leotards. With the morning light just beginning to warm the city, it was the perfect time to make the most of the day and capture fresh, vibrant content.
We chose Victoria Gardens as our location—a gorgeous stretch of parklands situated along the river, directly across from Optus Stadium. The setting couldn’t have been better. With sweeping river views, leafy trees, open grassed areas, and winding pathways, the park offered an incredible variety of natural backdrops that complemented the colours and details of the leotards beautifully.
Throughout the shoot, we made a conscious effort to work in both direct sunlight and shaded areas. Shooting in the sunshine allowed the fabrics to really shine, highlighting colour, texture, and movement, while the shaded spots provided softer, more even lighting for a different look and feel. This mix helped us capture a diverse range of images, each with its own mood and style.
In just a couple of hours, we moved through around seven different areas of the park, ensuring no two shots felt the same. The variety of locations allowed Ashlyn and Zoe to showcase different poses, expressions, and energy, bringing the leotards to life in a natural and dynamic way.
The images that follow are just a small selection from the many beautiful moments captured during the shoot. It was a fun, productive morning and a great example of how a well-chosen location and natural light can elevate gymnastics content.
